Seventh and eighth grade students have a College Course Excel class during sixth period.
Seventh grader Lawson C. takes Leadership for Excel.
“I really like our study hall days because it’s not only study hall but we can go around the room and chill with our friends,” said Lawson C.
Lawson C. also believes that having different themed Excel classes is a good idea.
“I think that Excel will benefit later on because depending on the class you have it will teach you certain skills that you need,” said Lawson C.
Seventh grader Nicholas N. agrees that Excel will benefit later in the future.
“I think it’s good because if you take them now,” said Nicholas N.
This is the third year that Gorzycki has had College Course Excel classes.
Seventh grade english teacher Katie McEuen has taught only one Excel class.
“I decided to teach food science because Ms.Schwarzlose taught last year and recommended things to do and persuaded me to teach it,” said McEuen.
Students have the option to choose their Excel class depending on their interests.
“Excel can be enjoyable depending on what your interests are. I like to sing a lot so it is enjoyable for me,” said eighth grader Victoria M.
