On November 17, the game Star Wars Battlefront 3 was released to the public, receiving mixed reviews from those who played it.

Star Wars Battlefront 3 is a singular or multiplayer game where you can side with the Imperials or the Rebels. Once you’ve chosen a side, you complete missions and participate in battles for your selected side.

“The missions you go on are basically capturing bases or just defeating the opposing side,”

sixth grader Lucas T. said. “You can also get other weapons and jetpacks and stuff like that.”

This game involves iconic planets from the Star Wars movies and the infamous characters as well.

“There’s this part where you’re Luke [Skywalker] and you’re racing through the jungle planet Endor trying to destroy the stormtroopers,” eighth grader Daniel Z. said.

Although some people who have played the game were disappointed, many others found the game enjoyable.

“I would probably rate it four out of five stars,” Daniel said. “Mainly because it’s repetitive. After about the first or second game, [the gamemakers] kinda’ run out of ideas.”

Seventh grader Dylan G. also agrees with this rating.

“There’s limited options in the game,” Dylan said. “In some missions, you can’t play as the main characters.”

Some students find Battlefront easily comparable to other first-person shooter games.

“There’s really good graphics, and it’s sort of like Call of Duty where you only see your gun,” Lucas said. “You don’t see the rest of your character.”

For the most part, eighth grader Matthew T. disagrees with the mixed reviews that Star Wars Battlefront has gotten from critics and players.

“You always have people who would rather play the classics,” Matthew said. “The one thing I would want them to add is the ability to be an Ewok.”
