2019 Austin City Limits Lineup

Austin City Limits is a music festival that takes place every year in Austin, Texas, at Zilker Park. The festival usually takes place on the first two weekends of October. ACL is filled with food, artists, music, and many other family fun events. Many students from Gorzycki attend ACL yearly like eighth grader Chloe Lee. She explained her opinion on the 2019 lineup.

“I think the ACL lineup is really good this year,” Lee said. “They have a nice diversity of artists performing.”

ACL takes place in two weekends of October. Ticket prices range from $105 to $3,600. A normal general admission three day pass costs $260, however, you can purchase GA+, VIP, and Platinum passes, which allow you more opportunities. Chloe Lee explained if she bought her ticket yet.

“I have already bought my ACL ticket,” Lee said. “I purchased the general admission 3-day pass for weekend one.”

However, seventh grader, Logan McCrea, has not bought his tickets. “My uncle usually gets me free tickets a few weeks before ACL.”

ACL weekend one and weekend two share some of the same artists. However, some of the artists choose to only perform one weekend. Artists like Denzel Curry, Madison Beer, and Cardi B are only going one of the weekends. Logan McCrea shared which weekend he plans on going to.

“I am going weekend two because I normally go weekend two,” McCrea said. “I want to go because Denzel Curry is performing weekend two.”

Over 100 artists are performing at Austin City Limits in 2019. Artists such as Billie Eilish, Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, Kacey Musgraves, Lil Uzi Vert, and many more are performing. Lee described who she is most excited to see.

“I am most excited to see Billie Eilish,” Lee said. “I am obsessed with her, and I love all her songs.

Even though many people tend to always like the line up, there are some students who don’t. Lee explained who she wished would perform at ACL.

“I wish they added someone who was really big like Ariana Grande and drop 21 Savage,” Lee said. “I don’t like 21 Savage; he is so bad.”

Austin City Limits 2018 lineup consisted of Travis Scott, Khalid, Shawn Mendes, Metallica, and over 100 more performed last year. Some students think the 2018 lineup was better than the 2019 lineup and vise versa. Eighth grader, Nic Lee, shared his opinion on the lineups.

“I think the 2019 lineup is not as good as the 2018 lineup,” Lee said. “I just really enjoyed watching Travis and Lil Wayne.”
