Would You Pay $5 For Nothing?

Black Friday is a much anticipated day for bargain hunters, with stores having early openings and crowds rushing in to get the best deal, sometimes injuring each other to get a sale. Advertised as getting “something for nothing,” many will go nuts on buying items. But, what if you could get nothing for something?

On Black Friday of 2015, Cards Against Humanity took the entire online store down, and launched a campaign where people could pay five dollars for nothing. 11,248 people spent five dollars, and 1,199 spent more than five, with one person giving $100!  They made a total profit of $71,145. Many thought that the money might be donated to charities, as the company is known for doing, but this time, they kept the money.
