The seventh grade A team beat Small last Thursday at home.

They also came second place in a tournament over the weekend at the Lake Travis Middle School. Seventh grade A teamer, L.D. B., says that they have made many changes that have improved the team.

“The first time we played Murchison we lost by 4, but in the tournament, we beat them by 20,” L.D. said.

The Small game resulted in the Tigers winning by 23. Seventh grade A team player, Josh M., thinks that the Tigers really came together as a team.

“Against Small, I played terrible and had three fouls, but luckily, my other teammates stepped up and we made a team effort to get the win,” Josh said.

Josh thinks that the focus of their practice is toward a more challenging game against Bailey.

“At practice, it is lit, we really get after it as a team and get on each other when someone messes up, and praise each other when we do good,” Josh said. “I think that the only thing that Bedichek is good at is soccer. They don’t even have players who can make a layup. I think it will be a very, very, very, easy win.”

The Tigers have been putting work at practice and Coach Eamonn Neary has been pushing them with conditioning.

Seventh grade A team player, Evan M. thinks that all of the running has worked to make them one of the fastest teams in the district.

“So far in the season we’ve done well communicating with each other in the game, moving fast and getting the ball down the court quickly,” Evan said.
