The last college football game of the season happened on Monday January 9, 2017. Clemson and Alabama faced off at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida for the CFP Championship. The game was thrill seeking for both teams. In the first quarter, Alabama was the only team who had scored (Bo Scarbrough with a 25 yard run)  putting Alabama up 7-0 in the first quarter.

In the Second quarter Bo Scarbrough scored again with a 37 yard touchdown. Clemson finally started getting points on the board, by scoring with Deshaun Watson with an 8 yard run. By the end of the first half the score was 14-7.

In the beginning of the third quarter Alabama scored a 27 yard field goal by Adam Griffin. Clemson then scored with a 24 yard throw from the starting quarterback Hunter Renfrow and caught by Deshaun Watson. Six minutes later Alabama scored again with a 68 yard pass from Jalen Hurts and caught by O.J. Howard. At the end of the third quarter the score was 14-24.

During the fourth quarter, Clemson’s quarterback, Mike Williams, threw a four yard touchdown to Deshaun Watson. Clemson then scored again with a one yard run from Wayne Gallman. Alabama finally scored  with a 30 yard run from Jalen Hurts. With little time left Clemson was losing by three points. With one second left on the clock Hunter Renfrow throws a two yard pass to Deshaun Watson making the score 31-35. Clemson was the first team to beat Alabama in the season making them the winners going 14-1.

  • Clemson (14-1)- Clemson’s last game was thrilling from beginning to end. They had a very close game with Alabama scoring most of their points in the last quarter.  SCORE- (35-31) Win.

 

  • Alabama (14-1)- Alabama’s last game was devastating. They were winning the whole game going into the fourth quarter (24-14). In the last quarter they let up three touchdowns and only scored one. SCORE- (31-35) Lost.

 

  • USC (10-3)- USC’s last game was another very close game against Penn State . USC only won by a field goal with zero seconds left. SCORE- (52-49) Win.

 

  • Washington (12-2)- Washington’s last game was close game against Minnesota . They lost to a touchdown with 19 seconds left and couldn’t score with the time left. SCORE- (12-17) Lost.

 

  • Oklahoma (11-2)- Oklahoma’s last game was against Auburn. They destroyed Auburn. Even with Auburn scoring a touchdown with zero seconds left could stop Oklahoma from beating them. SCORE- (35-19) Win.
