The A team soccer coach Sean Sindt, is excited for this season with the new team of girls after they are off to a 4-0 start.
“I see a good season, there was a lot of talent and I expect them to work hard,” Sindt said. “I want to play as a team, and I also want the girls to play fast and physical.”
Eighth grader Sadie P. has goals for the upcoming season.
“I want to get faster at getting up and down the field this year,”Sadie said. “I think Rachel G. and Lola M. will be team leaders because they like to lead and coach the team a lot.”
Eighth grader Mia F. wants to excel this year as a newcomer to the B team.
“Last year I wasn’t as aggressive as this year, and the coaches liked that I was more aggressive this year,” Mia said. “This season I think I’m going to perform consistently and work with my team.”
Eighth grade C team player Ashton R. is motivated to do well this year as a new player to Gorzycki.
“I think with a lot of practice and a few games I’ll get in shape,” Ashton said. “Last year at my old school I was on A team and it was a lot of fun. I think we’ll win a lot of games and do good as a team.”
Eighth grader Camryn G. is hoping to improve this season.
“I would like to improve on helping and supporting the team and not skipping out on certain things,” Camryn said.
She seems to look up to a few certain people on her team to rely on.
“I think the team leaders this season will be Naya T. and Vivian H. because they bring a positive influence on the team,” Camryn said.
Seventh grade C team player Kaitlin Z. thinks C team will have a good season.
“I decided to tryout because it is the one sport I actually like,” Kaitlin said. “Some of the team leaders this year would probably be Haley D., Lucy D., and Abby J. because of their courage and leadership skills.”
