Great American Cookies is a popular cookie bakery located all around the world. They have two locations in Austin, one at the Barton Creek mall and one at the Lakeline mall. Great American Cookies is known for their delicious and unique cookies and cookie cakes, but they also serve other desserts such as brownies and double doozies, which are cookie sandwiches with detachable icing in between the cookies. Sixth grader Kayleigh Raldes describes what she likes to get at Great American Cookies.

“My favorite is their cookie cakes,” Raldes said, “They are really good.”

Great American Cookies has a variety of gourmet cookies to choose from, like the classic flavors such as chocolate chip or sugar cookie as well as more unique flavors such as Dominio and Peanut Butter M&M. Eighth grader Parker Hawkins explains which flavor she thinks is best.

“I like to get the chocolate chip cookie with frosting on top.” Hawkins said

The cookies and cookie cakes made at Great American Cookies are baked fresh, hand decorated and they have many themes of cookies and cookie cakes that you can choose from. Students explain other ways Great American Cookies is different from other dessert places.

“[It’s different because] they only sell cookies,” Benesh said.

Great American Cookies makes many of their cookies and cookie cakes for special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, or special events. You can customise your own cookie cake to make the cake your own. Kayleigh Raldes explains what special occasion she has celebrated with Great American Cookie.

“It was for my birthday and we ordered a bunch of things,” Raldes explained.

Great American Cookies is home of the original cookie cake. All of their cookies are baked fresh in each local store. Their goal is to make the best cookies ever by using premium ingredients and to have excellent customer service. Eighth graders Cash Peters describes the service at Great American Cookies.

“[The service is] good,” Peters said, “They just ask you your order.”

Overall many students enjoy getting the cookies, cookie cakes and other treats at Great American Cookies. The most popular thing to get are the cookie cakes. Eighth grader Parker Hawkins explain why she would recommend Great American Cookies to others.

“[I would recommend Great American Cookies to others] because the cookies taste good and they look good.” Hawkins said
