Tiny Pies has been family owned and operated in Austin, Texas since 2011. They bake pies in small batches from scratch daily with the highest quality natural ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. Tiny Pies is known for having small hand sized pies. The Co-owner Amanda Bates explains how Tiny Pies become an idea.

“My son wanted to bring a pie in his lunchbox, but I knew that was to big, so he gave me the idea of handheld pies,” Bates said.

Tiny Pies is known for their delicious small pies, coming in all different flavors. Some of their more popular flavors are blueberry, chocolate, smores, and key lime.

“ My favorite flavor is chocolate,” eighth grader Zoe Jones said.

The prices range from $4.50-$6.00 per tiny pie. Some students think that the prices are not worth the quality and overall taste. There unique views on pies have changed the new generation of pies.

“ The prices might be a little overpriced because they are kinda small and its expensive,” Jones said. “I mean your only getting a tiny pie that will only take a couple minutes to eat.”

Other students disagree with that opinion.

“The tiny pies have tiny price,” Eighth grader Nate Morgridge said. “Just how I like it.”

Tiny Pies is located near South Lamar. It takes about 20 minutes to get there without traffic. For some people that is a long drive for such small pies.

“The drive is the reason I don’t go there very often,” Jones said.

Even though tiny pies is already a great bakery we asked our student what they would ad.

“ I would probably add some bigger pies,” Morgridge said
