The movie Divergent came out last March, and many fans of the Divergent book series, including myself, were upset after viewing the movie. Personally I thought this movie was not up to its full expectation. The directors basically had a script to follow when filming and casting, and they did not follow it very well. The main character, Tris, was too old and strong looking compared to the young and frail Tris in the books. Many scenes were changed, such as Tris’s aptitude test and the chasm scene with Christina. There were also many characters introduced in the first book, such as Uriah and Myra, that were not introduced in the first movie. Although the movie itself was not terrible, it did not go along with the book correctly. I don’t think as many fans will be interested in seeing Insurgent, the second book in the trilogy, after seeing how the first movie went.
