TCBY is a popular frozen yogurt franchise that’s based in the United States, where you can serve yourself frozen yogurt and add your own toppings. The chain first opened its doors in 1981 in Arkansas.  The location nearest to Gorzycki is located on West Slaughter Lane.

Seventh grader Rachel M. already loves TCBY, but she does have a few ideas for improvements that they can make. For example, she would like to make more of the flavors permanent.

“ I think they should improve on more variety of flavors because they change it up every week, and some people actually like the flavors that they change,” Rachel said.

Although many students don’t pay attention to the prices of their yogurt, seventh grader Chloe F. does have an opinion.

“ I think they are reasonable because it depends on the weight of the yogurt, so if you get a lot of toppings you will pay more,” Chloe said.

Eighth grader McKamey E. explains what special event takes her to the original TCBY located on the University of Texas campus.

“My family and I have a tradition where if UT wins a game we go to the original TCBY that’s on campus,” McKamey said. “I do recommend going to TCBY because it’s authentic to Austin and it’s really good quality.”

Sixth grader Adina K. explains what her favorite toppings are and why.

“My favorite toppings are Nerds because they give the ice cream flavor, and I also like peanuts because the are crunchy,” Adina said.

Seventh grade ELA teacher Erin Snyder explains what her favorite flavor has been since she last went as a kid.

“My favorite flavor is white chocolate mousse, because I ate it as a kid,” Snyder said. “It brought back many memories, but I also like it because it is very delicious.”
