Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a new movie that came out on March 25. Zack Summers directed the movie, and Ben Afflek plays Batman, and Henry Cavill plays Superman.  

Sixth grader Caverlee D. is planning on seeing the movie with her family.

“My brother started forcing me to watch his superhero movies when I was seven or eight,” Caverlee said.

Caverlee already has an idea on which superhero she thinks is going to win.

“I think Batman is going to win because he has more skill, and if Superman didn’t have his powers he would be an ordinary person,” Caverlee said.

Eighth grade U.S. history teacher Daniel B. explains his expectations for the movie.

“I want [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice] to be a close adaptation of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns from the early 90s,” Daniel said.

Daniel explains how he thinks Batman’s new suit might affect his fighting.

“It will increase his strength exponentially, but it might sacrifice a little bit of his speed,” Daniel said. “The point is how he is going to fight in the movie with the new armour tech suit is he’s actually going to be more of a brawler instead of the ninja aspect like you see in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy where he was a part of the League of Shadows.”

7th Grade math teacher Benjamin Summers wants to know who the villain is going to be in the movie.

“[I think] Batman is going to be the villain because he thinks he’s helping, but actually not,” Summers said.

Sixth grader Camilla C. shares her opinion about other superheroes being in the movie, like Aquaman and Wonder Woman.

“I think it would be cool because they’ll probably have to choose which side they are on,” Camilla said.

Seventh grader Hayden R. got into Batman in an unique way.

“I liked Batman when I was in a costume store,” Hayden said. “I saw a little girl in the boy’s section, and she grabbed a Batman mask and said ‘don’t question Batman’.”
