Kerbey Lane opened on May 5th, 1980 and is a popular cafe for teenagers and adults all around Austin. Lots of students here at Gorzycki recommend Kerbey Lane

“I would recommend Kerbey Lane because the food’s really good and it’s family friendly,” Seventh grader Riley SoRelle said. “For anybody going for the first time I would recommend the Eggs Benedict. The way they season it and the sauce is really good.”

One-hundred percent of students were asked if they recommend Kerbey Lane, the students describe whether the food is overpriced or underpriced.

“I think the food at Kerbey Lane is underpriced because the food’s really tasty,” Seventh grader Conner Hees said. “And the staff treated us like a princess.” 

What you get can really affect how much your meal costs, so the students informed us on what they purchased.

“I got the chocolate pancakes because there’s a nice aftertaste and they’re a good serving size,” Johnson said.

After the students told us what their favorites dishes were, they told us their best memory at Kerbey Lane.

“My favorite memory at Kerbey Lane was when Katie Hansen was here and I took her for the first time. She isn’t supposed to have be a lot of sugar [but she did],” Seventh grader Aydin Strange said. “So, when we took her home  after dinner, she wouldn’t go to sleep all night.”

Students explain which Kerbey lane they went to and who they went with.

“I went to the Kerbey Lane on William Cannon with my mom and some of her friends,” Sixth grader William Gum said.

Overall, Kerbey Lane is a family friendly cafe that majority of students at Gorzycki and people all over Austin recommend. Kerbey lane has lots to offer on their eighty-eight item menu, there is something for everybody. Kerbey Lane is located at 3704 Kerbey Lane, 3003 South Lamar, 13435 Highway 183 Suite 415, 2606 Guadalupe, 4301 W. William Cannon, and 2120 N Mays St; so go give it a try!

“Kerbey Lane is by far my favorite restaurant,” Johnson said.
